For Keep Motivation

My brother, I only want to say to you that we need motivation for reaching success. But, how the way to keep our motivation?
One of the way is we write motivation words on a paper. Then we put the paper in places that we can look it easily. It can be mirror, wallet, dekstop of laptop, or in other places. So when we are not spirit and we look that words motivation we will get high motivation again.
The other way is we often speak affirmation words loudly. What is the example for this one? The example is like this:
“I am the special...
I am the winner...
I must be able...”
Say it loudly frequently. If we can, say it loudly in the morning after waking up from sleep.
How about us? Can we?

The Most Dangerous Barrier

My brother, just now I joined motivation training that is held by STAI Luqman AL-Hakim Surabaya. The motivator is Faqih Syarif, a spritual motivator.
He told about the way to get success. The formula is HIT. H= “Hancurkan penghalang”. The meaning is, destroy the barrier. I = “Impianmu tuliskan”. Write your dream. T =”Tingkatkan kemampuanmu”. Improve your abilty.
He said that the obstacle or barrier that must be destroyed there are two. Visible barrier and invisible barrier. The example of invisible barrier is negative thinking, fear of failure, and destructive character.
But I think, there is one more barrier that we must destroy. It is sin or immoral, especially caused by eyes (immoral/sin of eyes). Really,  in my opinion, it is the most dangerous barrier in this life. I said like that based on my experience.
May we can be safe from this barrier. Ameen.

My brother, just now my friend invited me to accompany him going to market to buy something after Jum’ah prayer. Actually, I have plan to do something in that time. But I undertake his request. I think, there are many good things that I will get. First, I will get reward, because I “help” him. Second, I will make him happy. Third, our brotherhood will be stronger. Forth, I will get “other reward”, because what he will buy is for instution, not for him.
But  off course, I should do this because of Allah. :)

Alhamdulillah my brother, I write again. I think, I should not write many writings here. I also can write simple writing. Two lines, three lines, etc. I think, it’s never mind. The most important, I write here. Write everyday. Yeah, everyday. Off course, it’s difficult. And I have bitter experience about it. But I am sure that in the next time, I can write in this lovely blog everyday. InshaAllah. :)

And I think, my target to write everyday in this blog is not so hard or difficult. Because the target is only writing. Nothing special requirement. For example, the writing must be good and must be read by many readers. No, the target is not like that. Bad or good is not problem.

My brother, just now I practice a knowledge that I get from one of my teacher. When there is someone ask to us something or do sharing with us we should pay attention to him. Don’t cut the conversation firstly. He should stop the conversation firstly, not us. Except we have very urgent activity that must we do.

His name is Suparman, student of STAIL Surabaya who will graduate and will follow “wisuda”. I tried to pay attention to him. I don’t stop the conversation eventhough I have special schedule. I hope he get what he want to get. :)

Hm….I also hope, what I write can give advantage to me and to all of us. Ameen.

Alhamdulillah my brother, I can write again today. I hope, I can write here continously. I also hope what I write can give advantages to me and to readers. Amiin.

My brother, yesterday and before yesterday, I got very good experience. I was asked to join my friends for become “teacher” in “Pondok Ramadhan” program in SD Hangtuah 6 Kenjeran. Besides I got happiness because I met many cute students, I also got more training how to teach elementary school students. Before this, I ever taught elementary school students, but it’s in non-formal class like TPA (Taman Pendidikan Al-Quran/ Garden of Al-Quran Education).

Because I should teach students of forth class, so I should make what I tell is suitable with their age. In the first day (Friday) I begun my class by introduction. I told them that my name is exist in Al-Quran and be name of surah. I ask them to predict what is my name. Many of them tried to answer but they are wrong. And finally, there is one of them anwer by true answer. “Luqman!!!”, he shouted. “Okey, good, you are right. You are clever student”, I praised him.

My brother, I decide to write my diary in this blog since today. Usually, I write in my diary book. But finally I decide to write in this lovely blog too. One of my reason is, in order I get good habit in writing English and can be read by other people. May be, other person can advantage and inspiration from my writing. If  I only write in my diary book, only me who take advantage. So, inshaAllah I will write my diary in this blog in future, not only today. Bu it doesn’t mean that I don’t write again in my diary book. Sometimes I write here, and sometimes I will write in my diary book. InshaAllah.

My brother, somedays ago, I get confusing in choosing department of study in my post-graduate. Aqidah or Shariah Economy. If I choose ‘Aqidah’ I will study in Darussalam University (ISID/UNIDA), Gontor and if I choose ‘Shariah Economy’ I will study in State Islamic University of Sunan Ampel Surabaya (UINSA). Finally, I decide to choose Shariah Economy in UINSA.

For the first time, I tend to study in ISID. Why? Because I have studied there for 1 semester (1 month) when I joined ‘Program Kaderisai Ulama” (PKU). Who join this program can continoue his study (post-graduate) in ISID after joining test. Alhamdulillah in that time I am received. But I can’t continue directly because I must take my duty in my institution (Islamic College of Luqman Al-Hakim/STAIL Surabaya).

Actually, my duty in this lovely institution should be done for 5 years. But we can continue our study after  2 years. So this way, in this year I have target to continue my study in Aqidah by taking ‘Aqidah’ department. After make some lobbying and ‘approaching’ to my teacher and my senior, I get some conclusion. First, they get objection if I study in ISID, because it mean that I should leave my duty in Panceng, Gresik (second campus of STAIL Surabaya) because ISID is so far from Panceng. The question is, who will take my position in Panceng? Eventhough one of lecturer who has responsible in Panceng give me permission and said to me that he will look for someone to change me for a while, but the lecturers in Surabaya still get objection.

And than, if I continue my study in ISID, so I will take “Aqidah” departmen. They said that it is not suitable with institution/campushey said  need. It will not give many advantage in STAIL. They said that I should department that is suitable with instituon need. This campus will open new department, that is “Shariah Economy”. So, indirectly they hope me to take deparment in Shariah Economy or Shariah.

Finally, I decide to choose Shariah economy in UINSA Surabaya. If I study here I still can do my duty in Panceng, Gresik because panceng and Surabaya is not so far. For the first time, I am not sure when I register min UINSA with my friend. Still not 100%. May be still 50%. But after I did sharing with my friends and asatidz (teachers) it grow, may be at about 70%-80%. Or may be 90% :) . The most important, it’s not 100%. Yeah,  I am still not sure. But bismillah, it is for instituion. (Actually, my consideration is not only because of instition, but because other consideration, like fund, time, etc)

My brother, I get some suggestion and motivation from my friends, sister, and teacher when I ask them about my decision in taking ‘Shariah Economy’ Department. Those are:
1.       Aqidah department and shariah department are good. We will get reward if we study in these department
2.      Both of them are Allah science/knowledge that can make near with Him.
3.      The most important is we enjoy and serious in study
4.      Should pray to Allah and ask parent to pray for us
5.      May be it can be applicated in my life (be entrepeneur, not only lecturer/ not only science/knowledge)
6.      If we have positif thinking, it will be easy

The most important, I have decided. As my one of teacher said, after I make decision, don’t turn to anoher one. Be focus.

Hm...I should make my beliefe/confidence/decision in my heart 100%, not like now. Bu alhamdulillah, just now I read writing of Muhaimin Iqbal about shariah economy in hidayatullah.com. I also copied his other writings in my laptop.

I hope I can give the best. Ya Allah, please forgive me, help me, and guide me. Amiin.

The Amazing of Youth

My brother, just now I was invited to be speaker in masjid Nurul Huda, Prupuh, Panceng, Gresik, East Java, Indonesia. The inviter is commitee of Remas (masjid teenager) there. I told about about “The Amazing of Youth”.

In this oppurtinity, I will tell what I have told in that program. May be, the reader can take advantage from this. :)

Youth or teenager have amazing thing in theirselves. Soekarno, first president of Indonesia ever told, “give me 10 youths I will shake the world”. He didn’t say old man, but young man. Why? Because a  youth has power, spirit, brilliant idea, etc  that old man don’t have it.

If we read history, we will find that many youths have amazing achievement eventhough their age still young. Usamah bin Zaid was believed by Rasulullah to be leader in war. His age was only 19 years. Imam Nawawi can wrote amazing book like “Riyadus shalihin” or  “Arba’in Nawawi” when he was young, Imam Syafi’i became ‘mufti’ when he was 15 years old, etc. So, many young man proved that they can create something amazing eventhough they were still young.

Hm...my brother, actually still many things that I told but I want to resume it. The last thing that I delivered to audience is Ali bin Abi Thalib saying. He said, “laisal fataa man yaquulu hadzaa abii. Walakinnal fataa man yaquulu haa anaa dza”. A real youths is  not someone who say, this is my father. But the real youth is who say, this is me”.

So, as youth, we should maximilize our time and oppurtinity. We develop our capibilty. We make it progress. And then, we should make achievement. Our own achievement, Not our father, mother, or our friend achievement. Okey??? :)
